In loving memory of
Sadie Lourdes Walker
(1999–2014)

For the friend who filled my life with light, and my backpack with fifty notes a week—everything we build here is for you.
Sorila Health Labs was created in memory of Sadie, a bright and deeply loved young person and a cherished friend whose life touched many.
In middle school, we ate lunch together every day. We spent our classes passing notes back and forth; at the end of every week, I would empty my backpack, and fifty little scraps of paper would fall out. Those notes were more than just paper; they were a lifeline of connection, laughter, and shared secrets.
Sadie was fifteen years old. She was a student, an athlete, a daughter, a sister, and a friend with dreams for the future. When we lost her on Christmas Day in 2014, it profoundly changed our lives and our community.
After her passing, Sadie’s parents chose to share her story so that other young people would know they are not alone and that reaching out to a trusted adult can make a difference. Their courage and advocacy have helped bring attention to the challenges many teens face when struggling silently.
Sorila was inspired by the belief that young people deserve better tools to recognize when they are struggling—a digital way to "pass a note" and connect with support before a crisis occurs.
This platform is dedicated to Sadie’s memory and to every young person who deserves to feel seen, supported, and never alone. We are deeply grateful to Sadie’s family for allowing us to honor her in this way.
